While our events are capable of being run on cell phones, events that use laptops/tablets with screens provide a better customer experience, run more matches/hour, and have less scoring errors.
If you are going to run multiple tournaments, we suggest investing in the following equipment. You can probably get everything for around $300/mat. Having everything together in a bin that is easy to grab and go is very convenient.
A tote/bin (for carrying everything)
Laptop and charger (or tablet)
Mouse for laptop ($5) (optional)
50-100 ft extension cord ($20)
Megaphone ($23) (optional)
Extra batteries for the Megaphone (optional)
First Aid Kit (optional)
Paper towel roll and spray bottle
Table Skirt (optional for branding. Makes your events look much more professional).
Throw towel (optional) (take an old towel/cloth, roll it up, and put some tape on it. Now you can throw it at the ref to signify a period is over).
32 inch 720p TV ($80) - Keep the box and styrofoam for safe traveling. You will not need to screw in the legs, the setup is very quick.
